I have a 2 1/2 month old puppy and I’m having some issues potty training. I am trying to train her that when we can’t go outside she needs to use the pad to do her business. I take her outside when I can but there are days when we can’t (or she won’t) go outside. I have been keeping her in a penned in area with pad and kennel on a hard plastic mat when I’m not home. She tears up her pads while I’m gone. When I’m home she either just pees where she wills or sneaks away to poop. She just got clever and did it under the bed, you have any idea how hard it is to clean up?
I have been trying to keep her in her pen after meals so I can wait it out and praise her when I catch her peeing on the pads. But, so far she either holds it or does it when I’m out of the room. I don’t know what to do. She held it for 5 hours last night! Not a drop, but the second I let her out she peed on the carpet. She sleeps the whole time I’m sitting with her and I can’t let her run around because she’ll make a mess.
Any advice?
She won’t go outside when it’s pouring outside like right now. I’m not being lazy she screams and fights when I try to take her out.
