Most Petco’s offer classes. Call your local shelter or your vet and ask them, they are sure to know a good trainer.

train your dog yourself cause you dont waste $$$ and you and your dog get to spend time getting to know each other and build a bond!

i have a a 5 week old puppy that itake to petco every 2 days in a week from 4-6 in the afternoon so he’ll be trained in obeying sitting and tricks. it is working for 100$ a month. you can also use the ole newspaper trick to let some of his waste or urine get on it then he follows it around and uses it.

actually not all pet co do either my friend has a dad that trains dogs into sniffing drugs. he can also teach them the basic skills for a police dog or any dog! the number is 855-626-4184

PetSmart is really affordable, so I would recommend you going there. Good for you for taking your dog to class. You learn much more by going to class rather than reading books and trying to do it yourself. You will be glad that you did it in the long run!

Good luck and enjoy class with your puppy!

My advice is to stay away from Petsmart/Petco unless you already know how to train are just looking for a place to socialize your puppy. Many of the trainers at these places have no idea what they are doing. They walk in off the street, take a 6 week training course, and then start teaching classes. A lot of them are totally clueless unless they have had dog training experience before they are hired.

If you are in the west valley try Phoenix Field and Obedience Club: http://www.pfoc.org. They offer classes ranging from puppy kindergarten all the way to upper level obedience competition. If you are in the east valley you might want to check out Desert Dog Obedience in Ahwatukee: http://desertdogobedience.com/. If Queen Creek is more convenient for you try Meadow Lane Farm Dog Sports: http://mlfdogsports.com/ I have taken classes at the last two places. They both teach with positive training methods.
