Obedience classes for dogs are great if you have decided that your dog needs to be trained (and all dogs do) however you’re not quite ready to do this on your own just yet.
Most dog obedience schools offer classes for all levels of dogs and dog owners, yes thats roght dog owners! Before you can successfully train a dog the owner must first learn how to handle thier dog properly. Once established this will make training your dog much much easier.
There is no set timeline on how long it will take to train a dog however once you get to a level where the instructor is happy with your progress you can always leave the class and come back is any problems start to occur within your dog. Some people enjoy going every week just for the social aspect of mixing with other people who are interested in dogs whilst at the same time their learning all about dog training.
Most obedience classes for dogs will be run by a professional dog trainer so you will have no worries about been taught the right or wrong way to do things and you’ll be given long term guidance and support whenever you need it.
