Which do you feel is better for dogs Frontline or Advantix?
Have used Frontline and it seems to stop working so well after 2 weeks. I’m not sure if it’s me or not. What is your opinion?

I believe that changing de-wormers / flea / tick removers from sessions to session is best. Each particular brand has a certain active ingredient which can end up with your dog hosting a group of bugs which can withstand one particular brand.
I swap active ingredients with my dog and horse (note the horse has separate needs not frontline or advantix) and do a rotational schedule.

I have a yorkie-poo and had the same problem, so I just started to change brands every couple months, I also used a cap star tablet, a few times, I also went up on her pound size, she’s right at the 10 pound make, so I went up that helped too. I also started to treat her every 3 weeks instead of 4, just because the fleas were so bad this year. Yea I asked my vet and trainer.

My poodle is eight years old. I have been using Frontline for eight years. I give him one dose each month – and mark down the date so I don’t forget. I never had a problem. The amount of dosage is relative to how much the dog weighs. Make sure the package corresponds to your dog’s weight.
