I use this twice a day every day to keep my young dog from running out of the open gates as I am leaving the driveway. It works every time. I love it. Even if he just see me grab it he walks the other way.

Most of the dogs seem to stop when they hear it, but have found two yellow labs in the neighborhood don’t seem to pay any attention to it. Recieved it in a timely manner.

Overall, the Dog-Off has mostly done the trick to ward off scary dogs so in that sense I am pleased with the product. However, I chose this product over others because it also had an alarm on it but I now wish I hadn’t. I carry the Dog-Off around in my bag and inevitably something will end up pressing the alarm button (there’s no off-switch) and the alarm will go off in my bag and then I have to hunt around for it and turn it off which can be quite embarrassing! Also, the flashlight isn’t very bright.

I bought this product for my 7 month old beagle as a training tool. It worked great the first day or two but she quickly got used to it. I was disappointed and would not recommend the product to anyone if you are using it for training purposes.

If you need a dog-off article this is very good. I don’t really use the flashlight or the alarm that brings. I just need it for the dog-off sound it brings (imperceptible for humans but effective for dogs). With it, even untrained dogs obey. Very good!
