Scolding or otherwise punishing a dog for going inside will actually teach the dog not to go when you are present. The dog won’t infer that the offense is the location rather than the act itself. So you’ll wind up with a dog that will hold it while they on a potty walk with you, and let go when you are not present, inside or not. Punishment after the fact is even worse. The dog will not know why someone would be vile enough to rub its nose in it. It will learn quickly to fear the human.

Nice video with some great advise. I recommend getting a crate with a divider panel. This allows you to adjust the length of the crate and saves you from purchasing multiple crates as your dog grows. If you do get a crate with a divider panel, always buy the crate for the adult size of the dog and use the panel to adjust the size of the crate.
