  14. kenny2923 Says:

    wat breed is this dog?

  15. dready187 Says:

    your funny…do some more research..

  16. Trinksu Says:

Why do you move your hand up when you want your dog to sit? The dog is just following it, not doing that sitting thing by himself (which is the idea of clicker training).

  17. TwilightTwinkle Says:

My cat receives one third of his food through clicker training. And that dog doesn’t look fat at all.

  18. nova8 Says:

Although a dog that is clicker trained is going to have more reliable behaviors. I think your ignorance is getting in the way of learning something new.

  19. norriszd Says:

Do some more research on clickers… you ween them off of it. Its only for initial training. And as far as a fat dog is concerned you give it tiny treats that you can give over and over again without many calories.

  20. Persefona44 Says:

Nevertheless one may turn clicker training in bribing if one does not introduce uneven pattern of treating. It is also worth mentioning that not only food can be used for treating, my Airedale loves fetching. It is quite problematic when chains of behaviors are to be taught but we manage somehow :)

  21. Persefona44 Says:

buckeyenation10, I see you haven’t got the foggiest idea about clicker training, clicker is removed as soon as the dog “understands” what he is supposed to do, then treats are given less frequently and are finally replaced by a toy, running together, “good word” and whatever the dog likes that is not food.

  22. ozwrangler Says:

buckeynation10- “Bribes” are the quickest way to teach your dog to do something. You can phase out the clicker and food, replacing with praise once the dog knows what you want him to do. A trained dog is your best defence against those life and death situations.

  23. buckeyenation10 Says:

It’s only simple bribe training. Looks cute but you are going to end up with one fat dog (already looks kind of fat). What do you do if you need to give a life or death command and you don’t have the clicker? Are people really paying some 25 year kid for clicker training?
