My 10 wk old cocker HATES his leash. I tried walking him about 30 feet a day with it but he just tugs the other way, or wont walk when he has it on. He will whine, cry, flip and tumble to resist walking with it on. I technically have to drag him. He was biting on it so much I put some bitter apple on it…not sure if that was a good or bad move? Anyways, please give a new dog owner some help on how to get the pup to accept the leash and begin walking. He is fine when I just let him run around with it on, but as soon as my wife or I pick it up, it becomes war. HELP!!!!!
my puppy is a real pain. sometimes she waits at the door to go outside but sometimes she goes in the house. when she does wait at the door she is compleatly silent so we never know when she is waiting there.ive searched the internet but all the tips that they give me require me to buy a 70 dollar package! please help!!! she is almost 6 months old and im starting to get really worried. what can i do to train her to go outside and let me know when she has to go!?
She’s very smart and has picked up on things like sit, shake, down, etc. very quickly. However, barking and whining are two things I could use tips on training her to NOT do.
I have tried many ways to house break my 5 month old puppy. I have tried crate training, taking her for walks, keeping her in a kennel, even a small playpen. These were tips from a pet store. Any tips? Thanks
My parents just bought me a Golden Lab. I get to pick her up on January 21st. I’m pretty excited, but I don’t know a thing about training a new puppy (tricks, bathroom etc.). I’ve been reading a couple articles online, but I was wondering what your personal tips were? I want her to be obedient, be able to walk without a leash, stuff like that. Thank you for your help!
